About this role: 

  • Providing expert advice in relation to mechanical condition of vehicles
  • Mechanical vehicle repair and servicing including engine, transmission, body and suspension components
  • Diagnosis, and repair of vehicle issues and defects per dealer & manufacturer warranty processes, standards and guidelines
  • Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using service reporting systems
  • Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to return of vehicles to customers
  • Providing guidance and training including safe work practices to apprentice technicians
  • Maintaining a safe working environment at all times
  • Maintaining an up to date, high level of knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes of Toyota vehicles
  • Ability to follow dealership and Toyota Australia procedures consistently
  • Other general workshop duties where required

 

Must haves:

  • Cert III or higher qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
  • Mechanical knowledge of Automotive Industry
  • Knowledge and operation of all relevant Health & Safety regulations
  • Ability to perform Road Worthy Checks on vehicles advantageous
  • Must have full work rights
