About the Role
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of heavy vehicle and commercial transport products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks and commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Conducting inspections and identifying additional repair requirements
- Completing warranty and customer-pay repairs to manufacturer standards
- Accurately completing repair orders and workshop documentation
- Working collaboratively with Service Advisors and fellow technicians
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification
- Experience working on trucks, heavy vehicles, or diesel-powered equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A current Australian Driver's Licence
- Heavy vehicle licence highly regarded but not essential
