We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Team Leader to join our WA HR team on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing HR operational work across more than 30 sites and 1300 team members, with an exceptional team of four HR Partners reporting to you.

 

Primarily you will be responsible for:

 

  • Supporting and developing the HR Partners who work at the coalface of the business
  • Assisting Senior Leaders with HR operational decision making, including the State Executive General Manager
  • Leading all significant Employee Relations case management, and occasional legal disputes
  • Ensuring the full employee life cycle and associated work is done with Eagers Automotive Values in mind, as well as best practice human resources processes
  • Continuing to drive engagement with various capability, leadership and performance improvement initiatives
  • Engaging with business leaders on all manner of issues

 

About You

 

This role is a broad HR position, suitable for someone with a strong generalist background, and strength in award interpretation, team leadership and customer service.

 

You will be a genuine people-person, who understands and demonstrates the balance of supporting both team members and the business in decision making. You will be a decision maker; confident in your understanding of employment law, and willing to support the HR Partners with their decision making.

 

This role will also require you to get your hands dirty. You will occasionally be required to directly support leaders with performance management, investigations, recruitment processes and more.

 

Additionally, you will have:

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, or significant experience in senior HR roles
  • Prior exposure to Australian award-based employment environments
  • A passion for developing teams of HR professionals
  • Learning and Development experience would be highly regarded
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors would be beneficial, but not mandatory
