Technician

About the role:

As we support the ongoing expansion of Electric Vehicle brand BYD, Eagers Automotive have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technician to take the next step into EV servicing.

Electric Vehicles are changing the automotive industry as we know it and what a great opportunity to join us on this new journey. Get in early to join this new wave of EV qualified technicians electrifying Australia.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager and based in new BYD Wangara Dealership, you will be responsible for the general servicing and maintenance of BYD electric vehicles.

Duties include:

• General servicing and maintenance of electric vehicles
• Planning each job for maximum efficiency
• Repairing and maintaining in line with manufacturer and dealership requirements
• Identifying and repairing technical issues
• Identifying and recommending additional work as required
• Ordering parts (where necessary) from Parts Department; and
• Completing quality and timely work to meet Customer needs as per Repair Order instructions

About you:

If you are someone that takes pride in their workmanship skills, reliability and efficiency with a positive attitude we are looking for you!

You will ideally possess:

• Technician qualification essential
• Willingness to learn & upskill in the EV space
• Existing experience working with Electric Vehicles will be highly regarded
• Clear communicator with good organisational skills
• Strong eye for detail
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Able to implement and maintain change in a busy environment
• Valid Australian working rights and Australian driver’s license
