About the role:

Eagers Automotive are currently seeking a highly motivated BYD State Fixed Operations Manager for our dealerships at Eagers Automotive WA.

The primary purpose of this position is to work effectively with the dealer principals and operations teams at BYD dealerships to achieve agreed objectives aimed at increasing dealership productivity and efficiency in the fixed operations departments.

As a member of the WA Leadership Team, it is integral that this position plays an active role in supporting the achievement of the strategies of the Leadership Team and ensure these strategies are actioned through the business and work actively with each BYD dealership to improve fixed operations business performance through driving targeted operational initiatives. 


Duties will include:
  

  • Work closely with dealer principals and service managers to improve business performance, productivity, and efficiency within the fixed operations of BYD dealerships.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the Wangara Pre-delivery centre workshop space
  • Ensure appropriate operational reporting and internal controls are in place across all BYD dealerships and monitor key operating criteria, to facilitate the early indication of potential concerns in order to formulate timely and proactive solutions.
  • Analyse, assess and report on operational Key Performance Indicators for all BYD dealerships.
  • Review financial performance and provide guidance on corrective actions to improve operational performance where required.
  • Provide direct guidance with new BYD dealership creation with dealer principals.
  • Analyse BYD dealership results including dealer principal reviews and state dealership comparisons.
  • Deliver BYD service-related training programs where required.
  • Identify potential supervisors and managers and actively develop succession plans.
  • Provide on the job coaching to managers and supervisors in areas such as warranty, parts, and workshop roles.
  • Drive and champion a safety-first culture across the business.
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.

About you:

Ideally you will possess:
  

  • A qualification as a mechanic is preferred, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ERA and associated business information systems.
  • Strong financial acumen including analysing of financial data, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • A strong understanding of the automotive industry relating to service and parts department operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle servicing techniques across multiple brands.
  • 5 years prior experience in the same or similar capacity.
  • Supporter and champion of a safety-first culture and knowledge of specific WHS requirements for service and parts departments.
  • Highly developed commercial and influencing acumen.
  • Highly developed leadership and communication ability.
  • Values focused with a strong level of integrity and ethical decision making
