Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our high-performing team at Melbourne City Hyundai. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, leading and developing a successful sales team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all aspects of the sales journey.

Working closely with the General Manager and wider management team, you will play a key role in achieving dealership objectives, maximising profitability, and fostering a culture of success, accountability, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the New Vehicle Sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Drive dealership performance across vehicle sales, finance penetration, and customer satisfaction metrics
• Monitor and manage sales activities, lead generation, and conversion rates
• Recruit, train, and mentor sales consultants to maximise individual and team performance
• Ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the sales process
• Manage stock levels and vehicle inventory in conjunction with dealership management
• Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, and key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and regulatory requirements
• Foster a positive, professional, and high-performing team culture

About You

• Proven experience in automotive sales leadership, ideally in a Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager role
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business performance
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people development skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering outstanding experiences
• Highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Current driver's licence required
