Parts Interpreter

About the Role
BYD Springwood is seeking an organised and customer‑focused Parts Interpreter to join our parts team. In this role, you will support internal workshop teams and retail/trade customers by identifying, sourcing and supplying the correct BYD parts and accessories to ensure timely, accurate service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and interpreting parts using manufacturer catalogues and dealership systems
• Supporting Technicians, Service Advisors and Sales with accurate parts supply
• Processing parts orders, invoices, returns and warranty‑related claims
• Managing inventory accuracy, stock movements and periodic stocktakes
• Maintaining an organised, safe parts environment and tidy storage areas

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter (automotive preferred)
• Proficient with parts cataloguing and inventory systems (BYD exposure advantageous)
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder support skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Intermediate computer skills; DMS experience (e.g., Pentana/ERA) desirable
