Service Advisor

About the role
Austral Volkswagen in Newstead is seeking a Service Advisor to join its Service Department. This is a full-time position offering an attractive salary package plus performance incentives, Monday to Friday, with a supportive service leadership team.
You will coordinate the customer service journey from booking and vehicle arrival through to workshop updates, authorisation and handover, ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience.

What you will be doing

• Welcome customers and manage service bookings and enquiries.
• Prepare repair orders and explain recommended work clearly.
• Liaise with technicians and parts teams to provide accurate progress updates.
• Obtain customer authorisation and maintain timely communication.
• Coordinate vehicle handover and payment processes.
• Maintain accurate records and support daily workshop flow.
• Deliver a professional and customer-focused experience aligned with the Volkswagen brand.

What you will bring

Essential

• Strong communication, organisation and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities calmly and accurately.
• Current driver licence.
• Australian working rights.

Desirable, but not essential

• Service Advisor or dealership experience.
• Experience using dealership management systems.
• Basic understanding of vehicle servicing and repair terminology.
• Experience in a premium automotive environment.
