Diagnostic Technician

 
We have an exciting and new opportunity for a Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Volvo Cars Canberra & Polestar Canberra. This role is responsible for conducting vehicle diagnostics and repairs within the day-to-day operations. Utilising your vast mechanical knowledge, experience and exceptional organisational skills, your role will ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations and to meet the dealership targets.

About this role: 

• Senior leadership role as part of the workshop team
• Create a positive workplace environment
• Coach and mentor workshop staff and apprentices
• Some customer interactions and road testing with customer to identify concerns and issues
• Quality control
• Comply with manufacturer KPIs and procedures
• Vehicle diagnostics and repairs
• Work with management to achieve business KPIs and targets
• Oversee vehicle repairs, procedures and warranty claims
• Provide support to the Service Manager, Service Advisors and Parts Managers/Part Interpreters

 Must haves:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Minimum 3 years post trade qualification
• Dealership experience highly regarded 
• Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities in a busy fast paced environment
• Ability to interact and engage with customers
• Team orientated
• Driven to maintain a high standard and reach KPI targets
