Technician

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technician to join our dedicated BYD service centre in Osborne Park. This is a full-time role, offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus upon completion of your six-month probation.

Reporting directly to the BYD Service Manager, you’ll be responsible for the general servicing, maintenance, and repairs of BYD electric vehicles. You’ll play a key role in supporting the growth of EV servicing in Australia, while also applying your skills to everyday mechanical work.

Your day-to-day will include:

• General servicing, maintenance, and repairs of vehicles (including electric)

• Planning and completing jobs efficiently and effectively

• Identifying and repairing technical issues

• Recommending additional work as required

• Ordering parts where necessary from the Parts Department

• Ensuring quality, timely work in line with manufacturer and dealership standards

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, reliability, and efficiency, with a positive attitude.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Automotive Technician qualification (essential)

• Willingness to learn and upskill in the EV space

• Previous EV experience highly regarded but not essential

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A keen eye for detail and ability to work in a team environment

• Confidence to adapt and maintain change in a busy environment

• Valid Australian working rights and current driver’s licence
