About the role:

Eagers Automotive is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as the Operations Manager at Westpoint Star Mercedes-Benz in Osborne Park.

Reporting to the Group General Manager (Dealer Principal), this role will be focussed on leading and supporting all day-to-day operations at the dealership, including sales, service and parts departments.

This position would be ideal for someone that has extensive management experience in the automotive industry and would like to take the next step into the Operational Management space. You will learn all areas of the business whilst having support from the Executive General Manager and Group General Manager throughout.

Duties will include:
  
•    Work closely with the Group General Manager, leaders of each department, as well as other dealerships within the broader business to improve performance, productivity, and efficiency within the dealership. 
•    Ensure appropriate operational reporting and internal controls are in place across all departments whilst monitoring key operating criteria, to facilitate the early indication of potential concerns to formulate timely and proactive solutions. 
•    Analyse, assess and report on operational Key Performance Indicators.
•    Review financial performance and provide guidance on corrective actions to improve operational performance where required. 
•    Analyse dealership results including Group General Manager reviews and state dealership comparisons. 
•    Identify potential supervisors and managers to actively develop succession plans. 
•    Provide on the job coaching to managers and supervisors. 
•    Drive and champion a safety-first culture across the business.
•    Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Ideally you will possess:
  
•    Strong understanding of the automotive industry, including operational aspects of sales, service and parts departments.
•    Strong financial acumen including analysing of financial data, budgeting, and forecasting.
•    Knowledge of ERA and associated business information systems.
•    Supporter and champion of a safety-first culture and knowledge of specific WHS requirements for service and parts departments.
•    Highly developed commercial and influencing acumen.
•    Highly developed leadership and communication skills.
•    Strong level of integrity, inclusiveness and ethical decision making.
  
To be considered for this role you will have a strong managerial background. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates effective leadership and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt and manage change.
