About the Role

Black Toyota Oakey is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our Service Department. This is a full-time opportunity offering an hourly rate plus commission, a Monday to Friday roster, and structured trade training with one of Australia's most recognised automotive brands.

 

Working alongside experienced Toyota technicians and a long-tenured leadership team, you will gain hands-on experience while completing your automotive trade qualification. You'll learn all aspects of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and workshop operations in a supportive environment focused on your development.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist with servicing, inspections and basic repairs under supervision.
  • Learn diagnostic procedures, workshop systems and Toyota manufacturer standards.
  • Complete required trade training and coursework.
  • Maintain tools, work areas and safety standards.
  • Support the workshop team with daily operations.
  • Develop practical skills across vehicle maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Build your technical knowledge through on-the-job learning and formal training.
