HSE Systems & Programs Lead – Partnering with the Business to Improve Safety

We are looking for a HSE Systems & Programs Lead to help design, build and continuously improve the systems, tools and programs that support safe, practical and compliant operations across our business.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role working closely with operational teams to build HSE systems that are simple, effective and embedded into everyday work.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager – HSE Systems & Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining our HSE Management System, training frameworks, risk processes and assurance programs across Australia and New Zealand.
You will partner with Regional HSE, Operations, Risk and Learning teams to ensure our HSE systems support the business and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HSE procedures, tools and system frameworks
- Own and maintain the HSE training framework, training matrices and learning content
- Maintain risk management frameworks, registers and assessment tools
- Design and support HSE assurance and audit programs
- Lead and support HSE improvement initiatives across the business
- Work closely with operational teams to embed practical and sustainable safety solutions
What You Bring
- Experience in HSE, governance, systems, assurance or improvement-focused roles
- Experience developing or maintaining management systems, programs or frameworks
- Strong understanding of risk management, assurance or audit processes
- Experience working with training frameworks or LMS platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Ability to translate complex or legislative requirements into practical business solutions
- A collaborative, people-first and solutions-focused working style
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Diploma or higher in WHS or related discipline
- ICAM Incident Investigation qualification (desirable)
- Lead Auditor (45001 / 14001 / 9001 desirable)
