HSE Performance and Database Lead

Eagers Automotive is the leading automotive retail group across Australia and New Zealand, with more than 300 dealerships and a proud history spanning over 100 years.
We are continuing to strengthen how our HSE databases, reporting and insights are used to support better decisions and safer outcomes. To support this, we are seeking an HSE Performance & Database Lead to join our Corporate HSE team.

About the role

This role sits within the HSE reporting and systems support space and is key to continually improving how HSE databases and reporting are used across the business.

We are early in our reporting maturity journey, and this role offers the opportunity to take the foundations, build strong reporting structures and cadence, and actively shape how HSE data supports decision-making and safety outcomes.

Reporting to the Manager, HSE Systems & Solutions, you will work closely with the Corporate HSE team, Regional HSE Managers, the GM HSE and the EGM People & Safety, supporting operations through high-quality reporting, database leadership and system support.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a consistent, decision-led HSE reporting structure and cadence
• Own HSE performance reporting, dashboards and actionable insights
• Own the HSE database as the single source of truth for HSE data
• Play a key role in continually improving how HSE databases are used to support the business
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with HSE system vendors
• Manage the pipeline of system and reporting improvements, from idea through to delivery and adoption
• Provide super-user and administrative support to the broader HSE team
• Translate HSE data into clear, practical insights that support business decisions
• Support assurance, due diligence, executive and regulatory reporting
• Partner with BI and IT teams to enhance reporting and data capability
• Work collaboratively with corporate and regional HSE teams to uplift data literacy and consistency

About you

You are adaptable, curious and motivated by improvement. You enjoy understanding how systems are used in practice and finding better ways to make data useful and meaningful.

You will bring:

• Experience in HSE performance reporting, data analysis and database support
• Strong capability with reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI
• Experience working with vendor-managed systems and improvement pipelines
• A collaborative, people-focused approach aligned to a positive safety culture
• Comfort working in change and helping shape new ways of working
• Strong communication skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insights

WHS qualifications and experience working with HSE governance and reporting frameworks are highly regarded.
