Eagers Automotive is looking for a professional and efficient Group Accountant to join our high-performing dealerships. This full-time, hands-on role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys being involved in dealership operations and working closely with management in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

 

Reporting, and working closely with the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of four Melbourne dealerships within the Eagers group, business, partnering with dealership leaders and a wider network of experienced automotive accountants. Previous dealership experience would be highly regarded; however, the right attitude and a strong willingness to learn will set you up for success in this role.

 

The role is physically based in Moorabbin VIC but has involvement across four Melbourne dealerships within the Eagers group.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policy
  • Resolve financial queries from dealership management
  • Manage dealership cash flow
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller with day-to-day administration operations, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Manage fixed assets, including additions and disposals
  • Assist with monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
  • Assist with annual FBT submissions, Audit queries
  • Assist with submitting financial results to external stakeholders via E-Profit Focus.

What you need:

  • Completed Accounting qualification
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A positive, can-do attitude and enjoyment working as part of a team
  • Experience using Pentana ERA will be highly regarded but is not essential
  • Australian working rights
