Porsche Centre Adelaide is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Diagnostic Automotive Technician to join our growing workshop team.
This opportunity is suited to a technician who thrives on complex diagnostics, precision workmanship, and working with the latest automotive technology within a premium European environment.
Working from our brand-new dealership and workshop facility, you will play a key role in delivering high-level technical support, fault diagnosis, and repair solutions across the Porsche model range.
The Role
Reporting to the Workshop Controller and Service Management team, your responsibilities will include:
- Advanced diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, and CAN-Bus systems
- Fault finding using manufacturer diagnostic systems and technical support platforms
- Repair and rectification of complex vehicle concerns to factory standards
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Completing warranty and repair documentation accurately and efficiently
- Identifying additional repair requirements through detailed vehicle inspections
- Conducting software updates, programming, and calibration procedures
- Road testing and validating repairs to ensure technical accuracy
- Supporting workshop efficiency while maintaining exceptional workmanship standards
- Maintaining compliance with Porsche repair times, processes, and quality standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience within a European automotive dealership environment
- Strong diagnostic capability across modern vehicle electrical and mechanical systems
- Proven experience using OEM diagnostic equipment and technical repair information
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience in a dealership environment
- Strong understanding of vehicle electronics, driveline systems, and network communication systems
- High attention to detail with a methodical approach to diagnostics
- Ability to work independently on complex repair jobs
- Strong time management and workshop productivity skills
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence
