BYD Liverpool is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Vehicle Technicians to join our growing service team. This opportunity is ideal for applicants looking to complete an apprenticeship in AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, while also gaining additional knowledge and practical training in electric vehicle systems.
As part of your development, you will receive exposure to electric vehicle training units such as Depower and Reinitialise Battery Electric Vehicles AURETH101, alongside manufacturer and on the job training.
Applications are welcome from brand new apprentices starting their career, as well as 2nd 3rd and 4th year apprentices seeking a supportive and professional workshop environment.
About the role
You will work alongside qualified technicians to carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and inspections in line with manufacturer standards. As your skills develop, you will progressively take on more responsibility while being supported through structured on the job training, formal TAFE requirements, and additional BYD specific training.
Your day to day duties will include general servicing, vehicle inspections, use of diagnostic equipment, maintaining workshop cleanliness, and following safe work practices.
Who we are looking for
You are reliable, motivated, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in the automotive industry. You bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team.
For new apprentices, no prior experience is required just commitment and enthusiasm. For 2nd 3rd and 4th year apprentices, relevant trade experience and progress toward qualification will be highly regarded.
A current drivers licence or willingness to obtain one is essential.
