Apprentice - Diesel Technician

About the Role

As part of our 2026 Apprentice Intake, we are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Diesel Technicians to join our workshop team at Connector Park, Tasmania.

This is an excellent first step into the heavy vehicle industry. You’ll gain hands-on experience while completing your AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, working alongside qualified technicians and receiving structured support across your apprenticeship.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy vehicles
• Learning to use diagnostic tools, specialised equipment, and OEM software
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
• Following workshop processes and manufacturer guidelines
• Working with the team to meet service and delivery timelines

Skills and Experience

• A genuine interest in heavy vehicle mechanics and the transport industry
• Strong willingness to learn and develop hands-on trade skills
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on safety
• Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
• A current driver’s licence, or working towards one
