We have an opportunity for a Warranty Clerk and Administrator to join our team at Automall West Indooroopilly. The Warranty Clerk is primarily responsible for processing and managing warranty claims, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the warranty process. This involves liaising with manufacturers, customers, and service technicians, costing warranty repairs, and reconciling accounts. They also prepare repair orders and handle customer inquiries related to warranty

 

This is a fast-paced role in which you will work with a diverse team and customer base and be required to juggle multiple priorities to ensure that customers are always our number one focus.

 

Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will carry out a range of duties including:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and complete warranty claims following guidelines set by the manufacturer
  • Keep valid, current and legible records of all claims submitted
  • Maintain warranty storage of return parts and return all parts requested
  • Maintain a monthly reconciliation of claims
  • Submit transport and hidden damage claims
  • File all correspondence, service letters, technical bulletins and Standard Repair Times Guides
  • Discuss all policy write offs with the Service Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Complete costing of repair orders and assist in other department costing duties
  • Report all customer complaints (internal and external) and conditions that are averse to the operational efficiency of the department or achievement of quality

 

Advantageous Skills & Experience:

  • Exemplary presentation and excellent communication and customer handling skills.
  • Ability to cope with several different tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining an
  • High level of skills in relation to record keeping and paperwork.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Above average skills in time management and organisation of administrative duties.
  • High level of computer literacy. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the automotive industry preferred

  • Ability to learn new information regarding warranty structures and improve administrative efficiencies
