We are looking for a customer focused, goal orientated, high performing Sales Manager to join our team and help Eagers Automotive deliver their ‘Next 100 years’ strategy.

Our drive to be the #1 Mazda retail operation in New Zealand for both Sales Volume and Customer experience, means we need the right person to fill this pivotal position.
This role will lead day to day new and premium used vehicle retail operations, oversee the management and development of the high calibre team, whilst ensuring optimal operational performance and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
This role will see you:
- Leading by example with all customer engagement, utilising customer satisfaction scoring to improve and maintain customer experience
- Actively trade-in, and sell both new and premium used vehicles, ensuring that the department meets its sales targets
- Leading the sales team, creating a high-performing team, supporting staff engagement, and ensuring best practice is carried out across all areas
- Hiring and training sales staff, and developing a departmental strategic plan
- Accountability of all administrative tasks in the sales department, with the use of strong organisation and time management skills
- Act as a liaison between the Sales department, other departments, and the Leadership team
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a Sales department with in-depth knowledge of budgeting, stock control, pre-delivery liaison, CRM processes and all relevant legislation
- A positive and high-performance attitude, thriving on achieving goals, targets and KPIs while loving the satisfaction that success brings
- Proven experience mobilising teams to achieve greatness, recognising and rewarding consistently good performance and behaviour in a team-based environment
- Excellent communication, confident decision-making skills, motivation, and organisational skills
- A passion and focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Excellent health and safety discipline; and the ability to develop and lead a strong health and safety culture
- Strong financial management and analytical skills
