The Role

As a Technician at BYD Essendon, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs across BYD’s advanced electric vehicle range.

Working in a modern workshop environment, you will have access to the latest tools, equipment and ongoing manufacturer training.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing scheduled servicing, diagnostics and repairs on BYD vehicles

• Working with advanced electric vehicle systems in line with manufacturer standards

• Accurately identifying and rectifying faults

• Completing job cards and documentation to a high standard

• Supporting the service team to deliver an exceptional customer experience

• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement

About You

We are looking for a Technician who is passionate about technology, quality workmanship and the future of automotive.

You will ideally bring:

• Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician

• Experience in a dealership or workshop environment

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• An interest in electric vehicles and emerging technologies

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

• A current Australian driver’s licence

• The ability to work effectively within a team

Previous EV experience is advantageous but not essential—full BYD training will be provided.
