Technician

About the Role
We’re looking for a qualified Technician to join our BYD Essendon service team. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a modern, well-equipped workshop, servicing a range of electric vehicles and delivering great outcomes for our customers.
This role is ideal for someone who’s keen to develop their skills in EV technology, with factory-backed training and strong support from our team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, diagnosis, and repairs to BYD vehicles
• Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
• Supporting the team with pre-delivery inspections and warranty repairs
• Maintaining accurate records using our systems and tools
• Participating in ongoing EV-specific training and development

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Light Vehicle Technician (Certificate III or equivalent)
• Experience with EVs or hybrid vehicles (desirable but not essential)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• A positive attitude, good communication, and a strong work ethic
