Trade Assistant

Motors Hyundai Devonport is seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to support our workshop team in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This role plays an important part in assisting technicians, maintaining workshop efficiency, and ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high standard.

Working closely with experienced technicians and workshop leaders, you will provide day-to-day support across a range of tasks while learning valuable skills within the automotive industry. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in their environment, and is looking to build a long-term career in automotive.

What you will be doing:

• Assist technicians with vehicle servicing, repairs, and general workshop tasks
• Prepare vehicles for servicing and handover
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and work areas
• Support with moving vehicles and general yard duties
• Assist with parts handling and basic workshop processes
• Follow safety procedures and workshop guidelines at all times

What you need:

• Previous experience in a workshop or hands-on environment advantageous but not essential
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Good attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive attitude
• Current driver’s licence
