About the Role
As part of our 2026 Statewide Apprentice Intake, Webster Trucks is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Diesel Technicians to join our workshop teams across Hobart, Launceston, Burnie, and Devonport.
This is an outstanding opportunity to begin your career in the heavy vehicle industry, gaining hands-on experience while completing your AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and receive structured support throughout your apprenticeship journey.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a range of heavy vehicles
  • Learn to use diagnostic tools, specialised equipment, and OEM software
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
  • Follow workshop processes and manufacturer guidelines
  • Collaborate with your team to meet service and delivery deadlines


Skills & Attributes

  • A genuine interest in heavy vehicle mechanics and the transport industry
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop practical trade skills
  • Good attention to detail with a strong safety focus
  • Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
  • A current driver’s licence (or working towards obtaining one)
