BYD Delivery Operations Manager

About the Role
BYD Clayton is seeking an experienced and hands-on Delivery Operations Manager to lead all aspects of vehicle delivery operations at the dealership. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and high-quality handover experience for every BYD customer.

You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery process, managing the delivery team, coordinating with Sales, Service, Accessories, and Logistics, and ensuring vehicles are prepared, presented, and delivered to BYD standards.

This is a leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building processes, and takes pride in operational excellence and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the vehicle delivery and handover team
• Oversee end-to-end delivery operations, from vehicle arrival through to customer handover
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Service, Accessories, and external logistics partners
• Ensure all vehicles are prepared, compliant, and presented to BYD brand standards
• Manage delivery schedules, volumes, and workflow to meet business targets
• Monitor and improve delivery processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Ensure all documentation, registrations, and compliance requirements are met
• Train, coach, and develop team members to maintain high performance and engagement
• Act as a key escalation point for delivery-related issues and customer concerns

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in vehicle delivery operations, sales operations, or dealership management
• Strong people leadership and team management capability
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes and competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
• Experience working within dealership systems and processes
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
• Full Australian driver’s licence

Experience within a high-volume dealership environment or EV brand will be highly regarded.
