About the role:
Seaview Ford is currently looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for cars and customer service to join our service team as a Trainee Service Advisor. Incorporating elements of Service Advisor, Warranty Administrator, and occasionally assisting other dealership departments as needed. This is an all-rounder position that provides a dynamic and varied work environment.
Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will be responsible for booking, greeting, and managing daily customer relations for the dealership’s service department.
This includes the following:
- Answering customer enquiries regarding their vehicles service or repairs via the front counter, calls or emails.
- Seeking approval for additional service work found during vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all customer requirements & commitments are met in a timely manner
- Delivery quality customer service
- Compiling and completing warranty claims following manufacturer guidelines
- Completing costing of repair orders and assisting with other department duties as required by management
The Trainee Service Advisor role is strongly customer-service focussed, as well as having elements of sales, and automotive knowledge. Therefore, a background in these fields would be highly advantageous but not essential.
About you:
If you are someone who can communicate well, is reliable, and has a positive ‘can do’ attitude, then we are looking for you! We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude.
You will ideally possess:
- Experience in the automotive industry, such as Mechanic, Service Advisor, or Sales (highly regarded but not essential)
- General understating of a vehicle’s components & functionality
- Eagerness to learn and grow with the Nissan brand
- Desire to deliver exceptional customer service
- Operate with a high level of Integrity
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Australian driver's license (manual preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
