About the Role 

BYD Cannington are currently seeking a Vehicle Buyer to join our high performing team based in Cannington. This senior role is suitable for self-motivated individuals who have buying/valuing experience .This full-time Monday to Friday role will see you proactively source and purchase vehicles on behalf of the business, as well as helping the team with day-to-day valuations of cars to keep our business moving.

• Liaising with purchasing agents and customers on wholesale matters
• Maintain contact between the new and used car departments and wholesale buying and selling agents
• Carrying out appraisals/ valuations. Purchasing vehicles from a variety of sources
• Maintaining a sound knowledge of trade and retail vehicle prices. 

Skills & Experience 

• Previous experience in wholesale purchasing and or sale of vehicles.
• Mechanical knowledge/background is an advantage
• A strong working knowledge of the wholesale/retail vehicle market
• Basic computer knowledge and be able to multi task on various platforms
• Maintain relationships with trade buyers for disposal of excess stock.
• Good organisational and Time Management Skills
• Full Australian working rights
• Drivers license, preferably manual
