About the Role
Southside Volkswagen are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Recon Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing, inspecting, and reconditioning pre‑owned vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation before reaching our guests.

• Complete vehicle reconditioning, including mechanical inspections and rectification work
• Identify required repairs and liaise with the broader service team to ensure timely turnaround
• Conduct roadworthy checks and ensure all vehicles meet compliance requirements
• Document all work accurately and adhere to workshop processes
• Maintain high levels of efficiency, quality, and attention to detail across all recon tasks
• Work collaboratively with service, sales, and parts departments

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Automotive Technician (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
• Previous recon, used‑car reconditioning, or dealership experience highly regarded
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
• Current driver’s licence
• Full Australian Working Rights
