A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced and energetic leader to step into the role of Dealer Principal at BYD Cannington and lead the business into its next phase of growth.

About the Role

As Dealer Principal, you will be the cornerstone of our operations, responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and day-to-day management of the dealership.

This is a senior leadership role where your strategic vision and hands-on approach will directly shape results, culture, and customer experience. You will oversee all departments across sales, service, parts, and administration while building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including our OEM partner, BYD.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing strong operational leadership across all dealership functions
• Full P&L accountability, including developing and executing commercial strategies
• Leading, mentoring, and motivating teams to create a positive, high-performing culture
• Ensuring payroll accuracy and maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance
• Managing and strengthening the OEM relationship with Nissan
• Championing exceptional customer and employee experiences
• Driving long-term growth and sustainability for the business

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Dealer Principal or in a senior dealership leadership position
• Prior experience within prestige automotive brands, highly regarded
• Strong commercial acumen with deep financial and operational understanding
• A demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• A strategic mindset with a focus on long-term performance and people development
