Service Foreman

About the Role

Ireland Isuzu is looking for an experienced and motivated Service Foreman to join our high-performing Service Department. This full-time, hands-on leadership role combines workshop productivity with technical expertise, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop while supporting and mentoring technicians and apprentices.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you will lead a hardworking and collaborative team, providing technical guidance, quality control and operational support to ensure outstanding customer outcomes and workshop performance.

What you will be doing:

• Supervise and support technicians and apprentices across daily workshop operations
• Allocate and monitor workshop workflow to maximise productivity and efficiency
• Provide technical assistance, diagnostics support and problem-solving expertise
• Complete quality control inspections on completed repairs and servicing
• Carry out diagnostics, mechanical repairs and servicing where required
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, dealership procedures and workplace safety requirements
• Work closely with Service Advisors and the Parts Department to keep jobs progressing efficiently
• Assist with apprentice training and ongoing team development
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, customer satisfaction and workshop presentation

Skills & Experience:

• Trade qualified (Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a Foreman, Leading Hand or Workshop Supervisor role preferred
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Experience working with Isuzu or commercial vehicles highly regarded
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
• Ability to prioritise work and manage workshop productivity
• Strong attention to detail with a safety-first mindset
• Current driver's licence
• Australian working rights
