About the Role

BYD Ipswich is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our growing team. Working with one of the world's leading electric vehicle brands, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing and maintaining BYD vehicles to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in the rapidly evolving EV industry while working in a modern workshop with ongoing factory training and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete warranty and repair work in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and quality control checks.
• Maintain accurate workshop documentation and repair orders.
• Work collaboratively with Service Advisors and fellow Technicians.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

About You

• Qualified Automotive Technician (Light Vehicle).
• Current driver's licence.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous EV experience is advantageous but not essential.
