New Vehicle Sales Consultant

About the Role

Ipswich Mazda are seeking an experienced New Vehicle Sales Consultant with proven Retail and Fleet sales capability, who is ready to take the next step in their career toward a 2IC/ Assistant Sales Manager position.

This role is suited to a high‑performing sales professional who consistently delivers results, demonstrates leadership potential, and is looking to progress into a senior leadership role within a high‑performing Mazda dealership.

You will continue to manage your own sales portfolio while also supporting Sales leadership team, acting as a senior point of contact on the floor, and assisting with day‑to‑day operational support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage end‑to‑end Retail and Fleet new vehicle sales
• Build and maintain strong relationships with private, business, and fleet customers
• Support Sales Management with enquiry handling, deal structuring, and floor leadership
• Assist with stock management, pricing support, and vehicle availability
• Provide guidance and peer support to Sales Consultants where required
• Maintain accurate customer records and consistent follow‑up
• Work collaboratively with Finance, Delivery, and Administration teams
• Contribute to achieving dealership sales targets, KPIs, and customer outcomes

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Sales Consultant in a dealership environment
• Demonstrated success across both Retail and Fleet vehicle sales
• Strong commercial awareness and deal‑structuring capability
• Aspirations to progress into a 2IC or broader Sales leadership role
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail
• Ability to lead by example in a target‑driven environment
• Confident using dealer management systems and CRM platforms
• Current driver’s licence
