Service Foreman

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and confident Foreman to join the team at BYD Brooklyn. This is a key hands-on role in the workshop, ideal for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, supporting a busy team, and keeping jobs moving safely and on schedule.

You’ll work closely with technicians, apprentices, service advisors and management, ensuring quality workmanship and helping the team deliver a strong experience for every guest.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Overseeing daily workflow and allocating jobs across the workshop
• Providing technical guidance and support to technicians and apprentices
• Carrying out diagnostics and hands-on repair work when required
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and on time
• Communicating with service advisors about progress and any issues
• Supporting training, coaching and ongoing development within the team
• Maintaining workshop standards and compliance with brand requirements

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Automotive Technician
• Strong technical capability with diagnostic experience
• Previous foreman, leading hand or senior technician experience is highly regarded
• Ability to guide, support and motivate a workshop team
• A safety-focused attitude with high attention to detail
• Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Valid Australian working rights and driver’s licence
