What we’re looking for
Our ideal Payroll Officer will be an experienced payroll professional that possess excellent communication skills, have an eye for detail and the attitude and willingness to help your team when required. Working in our Brisbane based office within a large team to provide payroll services to over 8000 employees across Australia and NZ, the Payroll Officer will have the following key responsibilities:
- Assist in the accurate, timely, and cost-effective processing of each payroll cycle, while meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive documentation related to payroll operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to stakeholders on payroll-related matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies
Knowledge and Experience
- Payroll experience in a medium to large organisation
- Experience with SAP and Kronos or other payroll related HRIS is preferred
- Minimum intermediate level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, internet and email systems
- Demonstrated effective written and interpersonal communication skills
- Well-developed organisational skills – demonstrated ability to manage payroll processes to meet goals and deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver a high level of Customer Service and maintain customer relationships
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
